Crystal Saga Noob

My short review to Crystal Saga, an Mmorpg that you explore the world of Vidalia with friends or by yourself. You begin with the choice between 5 classes  Knight, Rogue, Priest, Ranger, Mage. I for one chose to play a mage which is usually my first choice when multiple classes come available. The thing that I don't quite get about this game is ... what's it about? I searched on the main site http://cs.r2games.com/ but did not get much of an answer.

For a browser based game it's graphics in character modelling, scenery and items are amazing. The scenery is always changing from map to map, making it more amusing to venture to new parts of Vidalia. Town don't look the same and shops are located differently which makes every town unique in its own way. The fact that this game is more then 2D but less then 3D also makes a healthy mix to the mmo genre.

Although I must admit the lack character personalization is a little bit of a turn off. I've run into hundred of characters that resemble my avatar to a T. The only way to differ you character from another is your weapon, and your pet besides that everything is the same. There is a fun aspect of this game and those are the titles that can be obtained through achievements my current one is kill, kill, kill. Another fun feature is the "nobility" ranking, the more main quests you do the higher it becomes, also winning at the battleground will increase your honor which will affect you "nobility" rank.

I've got to say the game play is ... well ... AWES... jk I'm not a fan of it. The game has a boring pace to it, it just seems as if you don't really have a choice to pick what you'll be doing on this game. The quests are easy (for lv 30 and under that's as far as I got) and high in exp but low in coins. If you just want to level quickly questing is what you should do farming is pointless, while you quest you'll come across equips and potions dropped which most equips are sold but potions are good when going AFK. Their of hardly any use while playing the game yourself, because you'll use them more wisely. The music is annoying and gives me a big fat headache, as soon as I log on I turn off the game music and put something more appealing ... in reality it doesn't even have to be game related.

I've been playing this game for 2 days now and have gotten my mage to level 28 with a total exp of 70%. I still do not know what makes this game so popular, maybe it's the fact it's simple and easy for anyone to play. Crystal saga is a nice distraction ... but the fact I have no clue what I'm doing and why I'm doing it, is just a turn off. Now the real question ... will I play it again? Maybe. The reason it's so short is because I've got mixed feelings over this game ... it's just not that good to wasted my time on it, but it's not that bad to not give it another chance.

League of Legends Noob

I've currently started playing LoL (League of Legends) a free Mmorpg (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) for the PC. I've got to admit the fact of me playing Lol was somewhat off putting, it didn't seam like a game I would like very much, and the other fact I was too preoccupied with reading novels on my new Kobo. So after a little peer pressure and the fact my bf downloaded it onto his pc, I gave it a go.

In the tutorial you have the choice to pic between 3 playable characters:
Ryze; the rogue mage, a ranged magic caster (450IP or 260 RP)
Ashe; the frost archer, a ranged carry (450IP or 260 RP)
Garen; the might of Demacia, a melee fighter (1350IP or 585 RP)

I chose Ashe which, I had fun trying out the fact she's ranged and noob friendly makes it both fun and entertaining while I'm still able to learn the basics of lol. I've never tried Ryze nor Garen, and don't really plan to. The thing about the tutorial champions Ryze, Ashe, and Garren is the fact you can not keep them after you chose to take the tutorial. You can purchase them once you acquire enough IP (points earned after playing a match that can last between approximately 15-60 mins) or by RP (points that can be purchased by Riot).

Every Tuesday there are new champions rotated, but instead of doing the smart thing and just trying out champions and finding the one that suits me the best I chose to buy Annie a little girl who captured a shadow bear and trapped it in her teddy. Annie is a very fun, simple champion to play although I didn't like playing her at all at the beginning. If you don't know what you're doing with her, you're well... squishy! A term used for champions with no defenses.

I am currently at level 9 with 4 champions to my name

Annie; the dark child, a ranged mage
Amumu; the sad mummy, a melee tank
Alistar; the Minotaur aka the cow (my personal nickname for him), a melee tank (free on youtube)
Tristana; the megling gunner, a ranged carry (free on FB)

It's a very fun game and I do recommend to give this game at least one try, you never know you might like it.

Halloween is almost here!

It is no secret that Halloween is the best day ever, you get to dress-up as a different character that would otherwise be looked down upon on the remaining 364 days of the year, and you get to receive free candy! I being 20 years old, am already "cutting it close" for my trick-or-treating days. Although since I am a mother I have a trump card.

In all seriousness I am going to talk about Costume Quest, I was originally considering to buy this game, but never did. But I did end up downloading it on PSN for free last Tuesday, although a short game for children, I enjoyed it all the same. You have the choice of playing Wren (Sister) or Reynold (brother), your goal is to rescue your sibling from the Halloween monsters, complete quests, stamps, creepy treats, and costume collection. It doesn't end at trick-or-treating door to door, because after you start a battle you go from this cutely animated kid dressing up as a cardboard robot and transforming into a butt-kicking mobile suit! Every costume has a different effect, look, and battle style.

I definitively had a good time playing this game, it cost me a total of 0$ in all honesty was worth every penny. If anyone wants a short, fun Halloween game, this is for you. As I have been saying it is SHORT! Although you have the option to buy the expansion for 5$ I haven't bought it but am considering, you also have to think this game is 20$ (with the expansion) is it worth 20$, for me a little too pricey, for a 5 year old girl/boy on his/her first years of gaming yes it's perfect and will entertain them for hours. I ended up collecting all possible trophies to receive without the add-on.

Too short and too easy for me, all in all 2.5/5

So much running around!

I headed back to route 204 to see what I could catch .... first encounter duh duh dunnnn was a Budew! I cause him and named him the only name that could suite him ... Zeek! Then I left on my journey, once I reached Oreburgh City, the gym leader wasn't there! WHAT A PANSY! So I decided to check out the mines down there I encountered a Zubat whom I called Guano! Actually I encountered many zubat ... but eventually I met up with the gym leader ... after a little thought, I decided this was a good place to prepare for my gym battle. And so Zeek was K.O.ing Onix after Onix, until he reached lvl 15, which I sought to be excellent. Battle time! With my little Zeek at lvl 15 and my lvl 16 Brian Roark was no match. So before I went on my merry way, I went up to route 307 and caught a ....... Kricketot. And so I headed back to Jubilife City.

Nuzlocke Diamond run! part 2

OH BOY!
I'm now in Jubilife City where I met a strange man promoting watches, he told me to get three coupons from three clowns and then get back to him. I found coupon # 2,3,1 in that order, I talked to the man and got a free watch! I love getting free stuff! Before I left town I thought of checking out the condos, and on the first floor was this cute little girl, she gave me some free stuff ... OMFG! AWESOME! Some people are idiots heeheeeheee. I ended up going to the west exit and met this fishermen guy who gave me a Old fishing rod, man people have junk these days but I took it off his hands.

While exiting the east exit I met Ninj... who wanted to battle he battle me with his Starly and Chimchar, which I defeated with Brian and Duff. After I walked in tall grass I met a Starly, first encounter on route 203 it's my first and last chance to catch him! And so I end this blog after a little bit of training.

Nuzlocke Diamond run!

I'm starting a Nuzlocke run I was wondering whether I should play Sapphire or Diamond ... I only had a DSi to use at the moment so my choice is obvious.

I start my journey in a small house in Twinleaf Town where my friend Ninj... and I (Jess a girl) decided to go to Verity Lakefront to find a red Gyarados. We see this old geezer and this other dude, sitting in the bushes they left in a hurry but left behind an old briefcase. My thoughts then were "OH BOY! WHAT KIND OF TREASURES ARE HIDDEN IN AN OLD MAN'S BRIEFCASE!" So we peered inside only to find, some journals, clothes, and 3 balls (what a weirdo I thought to myself). Suddenly we were attack by two Starly! I automatically took one of the balls in the briefcase and threw it in hopes that it would injure one of them and to my surprise inside that little ball was a Turtwig!  My Turtwig kicked the Starly's ass, I'm not too sure about Ninj...'s Chimchar, but we got out of there so I'm sure that he kicked butt too!

When we returned home we ran into the other guy, who told us to go to Sandgem Town, my first thoughts were "This guy wants to rape me!" but I agree to meet him. I get a pokedex and a vow to catch every pokemon out there so it will be completed "What a lazy ass! Giving this job to a twelve year old!" but I kept my comments to myself after all I am doing a nuzlocke run, so I can't fill up the pokedex. So I walk home to tell my mom about the adventure that awaits me, and how long I might be gone, she tell me she supports me all the way. Inner thoughts "If my kid was telling me at the age of twelve that he was going to go on a long ass journey across the country, walking/running the whole way. With only the help of these mystical creatures to help him get there... I would slap him and tell him to jump into reality and go to school!"

So my journey began with a parcel for Ninj... to be delivered. So I make my journey to Jubilife City but right before it, my first encounter on route 202 OMG CAN IT BE!? THE RARE THE MAGNIFICENT .... Bidoof? And so my team now consisted of Brian the Turtwig and Duff the Bidoof.. I finally deliver Ninj...'s parcel at the Jubilife City's Trainers' School turns out they were two maps of the Sinnoh region, so in the end I got one too. Yayy me I'm so awesome.

June 9th 2011 Grand Fantasia

I'm proud to say that after hours of guild questing, our guild is lvl 2. Now with a goal of around 5k guild exp needed, as guild leader I've got hours more in front of the screen. But thanks to my honorable guild members when I'm focusing on guild exp they're still bringing in fame. Although we're not the most talkative bunch, we're trying hard to make the guild successful.

I am now going to edit the names and the groupings of the guild.

Gate Hacker : The guild leader
The .hackers : Those who are on often, and who've been helping the guild to the most of their capacity.
Grunties : new members
